We booked our vacation for this year. We are driving over to the Oregon Coast and staying in a condo on Nye beach in Newport. I’m so excited. I have never been to the Oregon Coast and I adore the water so this is going to be a blast. Just ask JR how much I love the ocean…we spent A LOT of time in the water on our honeymoon in Mexico. Of course there won’t be much time actually spent in the Pacific (burrrrr) but just being on the beach is good enough for me. So far we know we’ll be visiting the Oregon Coast Aquarium, the Sea Lion Caves in Florence, and of course flying a kite and hitting up Mo’s for their clam chowder, which according to JR is an absolute must!
Another thing we are doing which I’m super excited about is family photos! I knew I didn’t want to try to mess with taking our own photos and I have always wanted beach photos done so this was a perfect chance to have that happen. I went in search of a photographer that had a similar style to mine and found a perfect one. Heather of Heather Leggett Photography is traveling all the way from Redmond, Oregon to shoot our family session! She is also taking limited session that weekend in the Newport area, so if you will be in Oregon June 13-15 get a hold of her and get some photos done!

We went to the Oregon coast for the first time last year. Loved it! We went to on 4th of July and watched fireworks over the ocean. Amazing! You have to go to Riply’s and the Wax musuem too.
