I was just accepted as a photographer for a very special cause, I know these sessions will ultimately break my heart. It’s not about me though, it’s about them. Thought I’d post a couple photos of what we’ve been up to in the Montoya house.

Grandma (my mom) came down to bake cookies with us. I love this tradition, it’s so cozy to pull out MY Grandma’s sugar cookie recipe and fill the air with the best smell ever. It throws me right back to my childhood when my mom would invite everyone she could think of with children over and our kitchen would turn into a cookie factory. Nobody will ever top the way my mom would go all out for the holidays and nobody will ever top my Grandma’s recipes…that women knew how to bake! Yum!

Then this past weekend JR, Natalie & I did our first ever Gingerbread house. It was fun and it was funny to watch Natalie try to sneak the candy into her mouth! Here’s the final product…we had to do a little brain surgery with royal icing on the gingerbread man though.
