Sweet Tooth? Cowgirl Chocolates Kick Butt!

The other day I had a blog post pop up in my Google Reader talking about a local company in Idaho that makes gourmet chocolates called, Cowgirl Chocolates. These are no ordinary chocolates though, ground peppers are added to the chocolate to give it a real kick (don’t worry there are non spicy flavors too). I truly love it when a small local business rocks, so I had to check them out. After browsing around their site I had to give them a try. They were super quick to arrive, which I was very pleased with and they even threw in a few extras!

I chose to try the Truffle Bars in Lemonade White Chocolate, Mild Milk Chocolate, Sarsaparilla Milk Chocolate (root beer), Spicy Roasted Macadamia Nut Dark Bar & Spicy Mint Bar.

JR, Natalie & I didn’t waste anytime tearing into it to have a little taste test. Okay people, this chocolate is GOOOOOOOD! JR & I don’t really care for dark chocolate but both agreed this dark chocolate was very yummy…certainly the best I’ve ever had! The spicy bars were truly a treat, you take a bite and a few seconds later get this nice warm kick in your throat…Mmmmm! Our results were:

Natalie’s favorite: Lemonade White Chocolate
JR’s favorite: Mild Milk Chocolate
My favorite: Lemonade White Chocolate with a VERY close second Spicy Roasted Macadamia Nut Dark

The little extras they threw in were a Milk Chocolate Truffle, Dark Chocolate Truffle & My favorite of the bunch, a Spicy Cappuccino Truffle.

So the best part of this post? I’m giving away your choice of 5 Cowgirl Chocolates Truffle Bars! YUMMY! All you have to do to enter is leave a comment to this post answering this question:

What is your favorite sweet treat?

Entries due no later then midnight on Monday (4/6), one winner will be randomly selected and announced on the blog Tuesday morning. I moderate my comments so don’t panic that you most likely won’t see your comment right away, but it will show up, I promise!

Has to be the chocolate chip cookie brownies that Bakerella posted on her blog a few months ago. Make brownie mix, pour in pan, make chocolate chip cookie mix drop in spoonfuls to the brownie mix. Bake. YUM!! I especially love to do it with the dark chocolate brownie mix and eat with a nice merlot. :)

Oh okay, my favorite is absolutely chocolate. Although growing up I was eating Qadbury’s. I love the sweet richness of their chocolate, it’s much different from Hershey’s. So If I had to pick one Qadbury’s product it would be the “Cream Egg.” Love those things.

    5. Shayna says:

My favorite treat is homemade toffee. Since that usually only comes once a year, I get by with oatmeal raisin cookies. The chocolate looks and sounds delicious!

    6. Crista says:

Mmm…. looks delicious! Lately I’ve been loving Cadbury Mini Eggs… who am I kidding? Any chocolate is on my list these days!

Yum!! I love anything chocolate. If it has peanut butter and/or is gooey then it is even better! My husband doesn’t eat many sweets so I have to take on that role around here … it is a tough one to have ;)

    20. OMG those look so delicious!! I will have to check them out! Fave sweet treat huh? That is a tough one! I have been on an oatmeal chocolate chip kick lately. I think brownies are just a bit higher on the list though if I had to go with all time fave.
