S’s Rockin Just Because Session : Nampa, Idaho Photographer

Sunday, May 31st, 2009

Pull up a chair my blog readers. I’ve got a TON of photos to show you. Yes, really a TON. Okay, maybe not, but there’s a lot. S is the girlfriend of my husband’s friend who we ride dirt bikes with. S is sooooo very kind to lend a helping hand and watch Natalie when we ride. In fact while editing these photos, little Miss Natalie bebops into my office, sees S and says, “That’s S, *insert little girl giggles* She’s fuuunnnyyy!” She also makes yummy chocolate & peanut butter treats. Really yummy. Yes, we like S. Anyway, S needed some photos of herself, just because she doesn’t have any good ones (her words). So, S got what she needed. New photos.

Ever been to downtown Nampa, I love the place more and more everytime I visit there. Sereously. There are some awesome shops, spots and even a train museum.

I said something funny and I’m not telling what. She knows…in fact, I bet she’s laughing right now.

HaHa, her boyfriend is half Japanese. We had to. We joked that it probably says something bad.

Hello. Red. Wall. Yum!

What’s in your camera bag? : Boise Photographer

Sunday, May 31st, 2009

I get asked this question from time to time, so I thought I’d do a post on it with pictures. Posts are soooo much better with photos.

My two favorite camera bags that I use equally. My Crumpler 6 Million Dollar bag which has plenty of padding for traveling and transporting. The other is the pretty Tracy Joy bag, which is not a bag for protecting your camera, but it makes an awesome lens bag during a session.

Next up (from left to right) is the Canon 430EX Speedlite, Canon 40D with grip, the awesome Canon 100mm f/2.8 Macro, & the lens that pretty much stays on my 40D all the time because it rocks the Sigma 30mm f1.4.

Last but certainly not least, my favorite items (from left to right).
The Canon 85mm f/1.8, Canon 5D with grip & my rockin new yellow/white/black strap, & the Canon 24-70L f/2.8 lens (yummy L glass).

So there you have it, minus a few other things like batteries, cards, diffusers, etc. this is the equipment that I shoot with.

A bonus photo: Meet Shady our dog, diggity, dog!

Happy Memorial Day Weekend: Boise Photographer

Sunday, May 24th, 2009

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Memorial Day weekend, I’m super happy that there is still another day left in the weekend. Who’s with me? Woot!

At the zoo yesterday, along with everyone else in Boise! ;)

I’m old. Yup I said it. I’m old

Thursday, May 21st, 2009

I don’t feel old, in fact I’m in the best shape I’ve been in in a long time. I still bust out in dance randomly, play with Disney Princess Barbies when asked, make Play-Doh cupcakes, wear skinny jeans & lip gloss. So why am I old…because I have a 3 year old. Have you ever spent time with a 3 year old? They. are. nuts. I love my girl to pieces, that is never in doubt, but holy cow, we are in for it this year. As of last week, I officially have a 3 year old and that makes me old.

A Minnie Mouse party was had to celebrate.

A hobby of mine is baking/decorating.

And I love making cookies!
