Casey & Eric…how do I adore thee…let me count the ways. There’s THIS awesome set of engagement photos to start with. They appreciate good wine. They are completely and totally adorable and in love. They have killer style. They laugh at my lame jokes. They have awesome friends and family. They are gorgeous people inside and out.

Casey & Eric’s wedding day started with some threatening gray skies and heavy clouds, but as I showed up at The Modern Hotel where the girls were busy getting ready, there was nothing but smiles and excitement in the room. Their wedding day was here!

Their first look was one of the sweetest moments ever. They just stared at each other, for the longest time taking it all in. You could see them fall in love all over again. I will not confirm, nor deny, that I may have been fighting some tears away myself.

The weather got better and better as the day went on and an absolutely wonderful wedding and rocking reception was had. Casey & Eric it has truly been a dream to work with you and get to know you. Enjoy your blog love!

They grew their own flowers!

They just stared at each other for the longest time, sooooo sweet and while I was capturing this…

Gretchen was capturing this…

Eric’s adorable son who was not believing anything I was telling him! lol

Gretchen getting Eric’s reactions

Loved, loved, loved their reception entrance!

Love this shot taken by Gretchen!

And this one taken by Gretchen!

The shot on the right…

Turned into this!

The toasts were super funny and super sweet too.

Eric & Casey did a very touching toast to Casey’s father who passed away when Casey was in her late teens. He drank Jack, so they toasted with Jack and then broke out some rockin dance moves to one of his favorite songs, White Wedding.

Thank you guys for such an amazing time with you. Congratulations, I know you will live a long and happy life together!

Having a second shooter for your wedding photography is a great advantage. Most all of my wedding collections include a second photographer aka the second shooter. A second shooter is able to help capture some key moments one photographer just can not cover, like the grooms reaction when he turns around to see his gorgeous bride for the first time during a first look or the guys getting ready looking as cool as possible while the main photographer covers the bride and bridesmaids getting ready. There are several reasons to have a second shooter and I highly encourage it if you can! This is my awesome second shooter, she’s cool people and that makes us a pretty fun team to work with! Thanks Gretchen for being my second shooter for the 2010 wedding season!

I wish I had more images from this wedding edited, but I don’t. Not yet. But it’s coming. Very soon. And it’s going to be awesome. So until then, just two for now.

Camp Destination Wedding | McCall, Idaho Wedding Photographer

Monday, September 6th, 2010

I had the opportunity to second shoot for the awesome Cyndee Wanyonyi of Ashki Photography recently for Austin and Dana’s destination wedding in McCall, Idaho.

The weather was being difficult that day producing dark, overcast and chilly conditions, but the love was bright and sunny! Paradise Point is an amazing location with a rustic, camp fee (because it really is a camp). The bride, Dana, used to attend camp each year at Paradise Point and always knew that was where she would get married!

Thanks Austin and Dana for letting me tag along with Cyndee and thank you Cyndee for letting me second shoot with you!

Product Highlight | Gallery Mounts

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

Gallery Mounts are one of my most purchased products. They really are a beautiful, statement-making and unique product. Your images are heat infused to a wood substrate and sealed with a matte laminate for a durable finish. The best part is they make awesome wall galleries as they are easy to hang and no framing is necessary! We love Gallery Mounts!
