Banned to bed on this Wednesday morning with a nasty little bug that seems to be going around, I realized I’ve not blogged the newest member of our family yet.

About two months ago, we picked Miss Natalie up from school one Friday afternoon and decided to head over to the Canyon County Animal Shelter to let her pick out a new member of our family. JR and I had actually found a sweet little boy there online that morning and fell for his adorable face, but we wanted to meet him first and let Natalie pick her new buddy herself. It must have been fate because she picked him and Gus made his place right away in our home.

He is so much fun and is a really quick learner which has made our job easier! It took our 11 year old lab a couple weeks to warm up to him, but he did so and has brought the puppy back out in our old boy! It’s adorable. :)

We’re not exactly sure what Gus is, but he’s obviously a lab mix, we think likely black lab with a brindle pit bull. He’s got those white markings of a pit bull and that really strange, but so cool brindle coloring mixed in. The neatest part about his coloring is the black stripe down his back and when he gets riled up it does the stand up thing making him have a black mohawk.

Welcome to the family Gus Gus, you are pretty awesome! 4 months old and huge already!

Hi sweet puppy!

And then…The Punk takes over Sweet Puppy. Nope, I did not get a photo of all three together. Puppies are 500x harder to photograph than any active toddler, lol.

Katie and Tyler are married! What a gorgeous, 90 degree, October, day that started with a room full of equally gorgeous ladies getting ready at Hotel 43 in downtown Boise. Tears, laughs and nerves were all shared, but mostly lots of care and love. One of the sweetest moments was when Katie’s father saw his little girl as a bride (I’m not getting teary, I’m not getting teary).

The day moved on to the awesome Idaho Shakespeare Festival Amphitheater were Katie and Tyler saw each other for the first time and we had some serious fun with the awesomely small bridal party. An amazing time was had with a really great group of friends and family, I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so hard during toasts!

Katie and Tyler (and their friends and family) thank you so much for allowing me to capture your memories! Enjoy your blog post!

Look at the tear line!!

It’s HENRY!!!! Remember THIS shot. Henry showed up so we could do another one of those shots with wedding attire. He was soooo excited for his parents, it took us a few minutes to calm him down enough, but I knew we’d get it, he’s such a good boy! I see a Yorkie in my future!

Casey & Eric…how do I adore thee…let me count the ways. There’s THIS awesome set of engagement photos to start with. They appreciate good wine. They are completely and totally adorable and in love. They have killer style. They laugh at my lame jokes. They have awesome friends and family. They are gorgeous people inside and out.

Casey & Eric’s wedding day started with some threatening gray skies and heavy clouds, but as I showed up at The Modern Hotel where the girls were busy getting ready, there was nothing but smiles and excitement in the room. Their wedding day was here!

Their first look was one of the sweetest moments ever. They just stared at each other, for the longest time taking it all in. You could see them fall in love all over again. I will not confirm, nor deny, that I may have been fighting some tears away myself.

The weather got better and better as the day went on and an absolutely wonderful wedding and rocking reception was had. Casey & Eric it has truly been a dream to work with you and get to know you. Enjoy your blog love!

They grew their own flowers!

They just stared at each other for the longest time, sooooo sweet and while I was capturing this…

Gretchen was capturing this…

Eric’s adorable son who was not believing anything I was telling him! lol

Gretchen getting Eric’s reactions

Loved, loved, loved their reception entrance!

Love this shot taken by Gretchen!

And this one taken by Gretchen!

The shot on the right…

Turned into this!

The toasts were super funny and super sweet too.

Eric & Casey did a very touching toast to Casey’s father who passed away when Casey was in her late teens. He drank Jack, so they toasted with Jack and then broke out some rockin dance moves to one of his favorite songs, White Wedding.

Thank you guys for such an amazing time with you. Congratulations, I know you will live a long and happy life together!
